Business mentoring: practically
How else? We can theorise within tahe walls of the academy, which may be fun, but in life and also in mentoring, the key is to act, work with others, work on their development, support them, but to do it in an expert manner and according to the highest standards, which we are constantly developing together with EMCC.
This is a book for practitioners, mentoring leaders who take their profession seriously and responsibly. Do not let it be read by home-grown coaches and business psychologists who think they already know everything. Nor should it be read by mentors who, even after many years of practice, have reached the point where nothing can surprise them anymore. Nor should it be read by people who find it so easy to advise others, because this is not a book for them either.
It is a book for practising mentors, leaders with a keen awareness and humility, who know that it is in the DNA of a mentor to constantly evolve, constantly update and constantly refresh their perspective.
Early reviewers have told us that the book Business Mentoring Practically: is first and foremost substantive, but it’s also funny at times, it’s even charming at times, and it’s challenging at times and can make you feel – as some have said – a needed and inspiring discomfort. If you are not ready for that, don’t reach for it either.
On the other hand, if you want to add new tools to your mentoring workshop, if you want to encounter a different, perhaps refreshing perspective and optics, if you want to develop as a leader, mentor/leader, mentor, if you are also ready to meet your less enlightened part and revise it, then reach for this ‘next mentoring book’, because it might be the knowledge you need right now.
As an added treat, Ursula Lozinski’s illustrations are always good to look at.
Business Mentoring: Practically is available in most online bookshops and on our website.
We invite you to read it!
